Riviera Maya is the most authentically regional restaurant at Moon Palace — Yucatecan cuisine in a resort that otherwise runs generic international menus. Located at the Golf Course Clubhouse and open all day, it's the kitchen cooking cochinita pibil, sopa de lima, and habanero-forward preparations you won't find anywhere in the Sunrise or Nizuc sections. Reservations required for all services. Worth the Golf Course shuttle trip.

• Cochinita Pibil
  Slow-roasted achiote-marinated pork — the most authentically Yucatecan dish on the menu; the one to order if you want to understand what this restaurant does that nothing else at Moon Palace does.
• Sopa de Lima
  Lime-based chicken soup with crispy tortilla strips — the regional starter guests most consistently praise and the correct first course at Riviera Maya.
• Grilled Fish on Buttered Rice
  The most-cited dinner main in guest reviews; fresh fish simply prepared and the dish that drives repeat visits to the Golf Course section.
• Eggs Benedict (breakfast)
  Called out specifically by reviewers as well-executed; the best sit-down breakfast alternative to the morning buffets at Moon Palace.
